Jack and his crew did amazing work. We had a bunch of tree debris from a strong wind storm over the winter that created a dangerous hazard in our yard. I texted Black Butte Tree Service a couple of pictures and within minutes received a response. The next day they were over to assess and offer a very reasonable quote. Shortly thereafter they performed the work to perfection. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future, and I’m certain I will. Book them with confidence!
Jack and his crew came by, they efficiently and safely removed 3 trees that were a danger or a nuisance on our property. In the initial assessment, he also recommended some additional work on one tree which had branches hanging over our home, and this was completed on the work day as well. This gave us peace of mind that structures, power lines, and fencing would all be safer moving forwards. Overall a very fair price and great work done by Black Butte Tree Service!

We were worried that the trees would fall on our home or fall on our neighbors home. The price was very reasonable and it was very entertaining for our family to watch what they were doing. Jack's prices may be at the lower end of the scale, but his service is top-notch. Jack felled several trees close to our house for fire mitigation. His experience as a firefighter is helpful in assessing a job, and his chainsaw work is excellent. We found Jack personable, flexible in his approach, and generally very easy to work with. Highly recommended.

Black Butte Tree Service provided great service! I had two trees removed that were close to my house and required climbing. James, the owner was on time for both the estimate and removal. He was respectful, knowledgeable and compassionate. The work was done within my timeframe according to the contract. The site was left cleaned and the wood was stacked as requested. I highly recommend this company and I would use them again should the need arise.
We had 4 mature cedar trees and one mature oak tree just inside the property line. The trunk of one of the cedars was compromised when a huge branch broke off due to high winds, landing on the neighbor's shed. Although no damage was done, the writing was one the wall that this could happen again but with property damage. I sent an email to Black Butte Tree Service on December 29, 2025. Jack responded quickly and was able to come out that day. We got a reasonable estimate to remove the 5 trees and one other cedar and requested the work. One week later (January 5, 2026) Jack and a helper came out and in the rain and later snow, began the removal process. By Friday all the trees were down. Jack took precautions to protect our lawn by laying down plywood and for that I'm grateful. He also contacted the neighbor seeking permission to go onto their property to pick up tree limbs and clean their property. Jack is friendly, professional and really strives to do tree work as safely as possible. He comes highly recommended from me and I urge you to give him a call or email if you need tree service. I'm glad I did and now I can sleep well during windstorms.

Jack and his helper/line wrangler showed up on time, we discussed the plan for the day, and they went to work. I really liked that they had "Bluetooth" communications in their safety helmets. No brances falling on someone else, etc. All their equipment was newer looking and they had everything they needed. They cleaned up the brush/small branches and put them on my burn pile. In short, they were professional in all aspects of the job. Glad to give a 5 star review.

Top notch service!! Unbeatable prices!! I highly recommend!! I needed a 60ft pine cut down, and Black Butte Tree Service made light work of the tall pine, as well as cut the entire tree into rounds at no extra charge. Afterwards he stacked the rounds exactly where i wanted them, and he even scraped cleared any and all debris such as cones, branches, etc into a centered pile at my request so that I may burn when the weather permits. I'm thankful I chose Black Butte Tree Service. The owner Mark is very respectful, extremely professional, highly detail oriented, and has unrivaled customer service. He took the time to listen and thoroughly discuss every detail of the job, which immediately put my mind at ease. He did not rush or cut corners in anyway, he is passionate about what he does and his work reflects that. He did an outstanding job.
